Ohio Senate Race

Current Senator Sherrod Brown (D) has been described as the most liberal Senator in congress, He was elected with the help of ACORN and the Unions, and is a strong supporter of everything the Tea Party is against. He is a dyed-in-the-wool extreme Socialist who would like to see all wealth redistributed.

And he is up for reelection in 2012.

Despite the big cities of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and others who vote Democrat, in 2010 Ohio voted 57% Republican to 39% Democrat. The top four state office holders are Republicans and the state Senate is majority GOP. There is a very real possibility we can get Brown replaced by a conservative Republican.

The one to watch is Josh Mandel, an Iraq veteran and current state Treasurer. He is a conservative Republican endorsed by the Senate Conservative Fund (Jim DeMint). He is behind Brown in campaign funds ($10.4 million vs $5.8 million) but is gaining rapidly. Mandel's  only down side is his wife's family have been contributors and supporters of the Democrats in Ohio.

The polls show Brown with a 9+ point lead, but shrinking.

All the other candidates for this job are Republicans, so with a little help from us, the GOP should be able to gain this seat.

Brown is not someone we want in the Senate. Mandel could use some contributions from us.
